Taming Susan performs a
high-energy mix of hard rock and pop songs
Top-Forty 80’s, 90’s & current Rock,
along with a few classics. The band has been
together since 2001 and has played numerous events,
cabarets and clubs in western Canada. Taming Susan
is in regular rotation at Saskatchewan’s top night
clubs and has shared the stage with some of Canada’s
top classic rock acts including Prism, Harlequin,
Headpins and Doug & the Slugs. Female and male lead
vocals are featured in a non-stop, tight show.
Taming Susan does accurate covers
and a few of their own unique versions of your
favourite music. They are big fans of non-stop music
in long medleys. Dance and party music are the
priority. The music ranges from No Doubt, Joan Jett
and Evanescence to Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC and Bon Jovi.
The choice of music shows off
lead singer, Suzy Diamond’s amazing voice and range
of styles. The band has a simple mantra:
"the audience gets what the audience wants!"
The band members believe that
music is meant to be played, not computer sequenced.
Therefore everything you hear at the show is live,
even if it means playing with hands and feet. All
band players play multiple instruments and sing,
making use of guitars, bass, percussion, keyboards,
guitar synthesizers, and keyboard pedals (a la Geddy
Lee!). If you hear it, somebody played it! Oh yeah
and there’s lots of lights, flailing about,
silliness, and a fog machine too ... it’s not rock
‘n roll without a fog machine!
Now for a bit of Shakespeare: "Now,
go thy ways; thou hast tamed a cursed shrew. ’Tis a
wonder, by your leave, she will be tamed so".
Taming Susan will adjust
performance, stage setup, sets, volume &
play-list to accommodate the venue.
