From their debut in the early 1990's, the 'Sambucas'
have been a staple on the Western Canadian
music scene with their tribute to everything
rock’n’roll.
Their original songs have been released on
numerous compilation albums and they have
performed on Global television's 'Micro
Series', but live performance has always
been the band's mainstay. It's easy to see
why when you watch the Sambucas play. They
actually have fun and that fun is
contagious!
They have shared the stage with Starship,
April Wine, Meatloaf, Platinum Blonde, Glass
Tiger, The Waltons, Trooper, Prism, and Lee
Aaron. They entertained thousands at the
Minnedosa Classic Rock Festival, The Sun
Shake Festival, Dauphin Countryfest, and are
a
favourite at Saskatchewan Place with The C95
'Big Party'.
Lead singer, Greg Hargarten has
played with bands like the Muffinheads, Love
Empire, Some Kind of Fantasy, The
Frantics, and Eileen Laverty. He has released a
couple successful solo albums under the pseudonym Ricasso. |
