Faster Gun was formed by Dean Kush, Aaron Habicht,
and Manager Ken Taylor in January of 1994. The band
was formed in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and
quickly became a very popular draw at clubs, and
Cabarets across Saskatchewan.
After a very successful first year on the country
music scene, Faster Gun recorded and released their
debut album "Take a Chance¼ ". The album, released
in early 1995, spawned 5 radio singles, and a video
which received national airplay on CMT. The video
was filmed for the first single Holdin' On which
charted at #42. This song was followed by the
charting singles Workin' the Land, Take a Chance on
Love, River, and There's a Lot of Things.
With the release of the album "Take a Chance¼ ",
Faster Gun kept extremely busy with live shows, and
promotion. The release of the album also led to a 30
minute television special by the Canadian
Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). The show, entititled
Prairie Roadhouse was nationally televised in late
1995.
In 1998, Faster Gun released their second
independent Album entitled "Something Real". This
album received great response as a follow up to
"Take a Chance¼ ". It has so far charted the singles
Something Real, Heart's Not Really In It, Could You
Love Me Girl, and their latest single, You Got Me.
Since their formation in 1994 Faster Gun has enjoyed
performing immensely, and will continue to do so. At
this point the band continues to write original
material for an upcoming 3rd album. They have also
been fortunate to receive material from other
writers, including Gary Burr, Victoria Shaw, and
Steve Fox to name a few.
Needless to say, Faster Gun will continue to make a
name for themselves across the country music scene.
